Packaging Corporation of America was founded in 1959 and has over 120 locations with headquarters in Lake Forest, Illinois. PCA is one of the largest producers of corrugated packaging products. In 2021 and 2022, Packaging Corporation of America was included in Forbes magazine’s list of “World’s Best Employers”. In 2023, PCA was listed as one of “America’s Most Responsible Companies” by Newsweek magazine. The company employs 15,500 people.
7. Greif
Greif was founded in 1877 by William Greif and Albert Vanderwyst as a cooperage shop, “Vanderwyst and Greif,” in Cleveland, Ohio. Today the company’s main headquarters are located in Delaware, Ohio. Pratt Industries is one of the largest corrugated packaging companies in the US and world’s largest privately held producer of 100% recycled containerboard. The company has over 11,500 employees spread across facilities in 25 states. Pratt Industries was founded in 1948 and is headquartered in Conyers, Georgia.
